You and I Forever by Melissa Toppen - Book Review

My favorite series coming to a happy ending. Anna and Bentley have been through a whirlwind of emotions. From fighting their urges to leaving everything on the field these two have come across the final step in their relationship: acceptance. Accepting that love really can conquer all and guide you to places they both didn't think possible. I have loved this story from the stripper pole to the soccer field and what these two have in store for you in You and I Forever was more that I could ever have imagined.

The start of this book had me confused and thinking I was missing something, but once you catch up with you see that these two were preparing for a future and one of them didn’t know it. One of the hiccups in their relationship was really not a bad one, but one that was going to be a hurdle. Bentley and Anna met in a strip club she continued dancing even when they were building a relationship. Now, the moment of truth comes in and love enters the equation where Bentley gives Anna the ultimatum. I kind of saw it coming but for me, was one of the one questions I had in my head. Second favorite part in the book for me.

Breathless 2 by Shani Greene - Dowdell - Book Review

Yes, they are back and right where you left them in the previous book. So it’s only befitting that this book is called Breathless 2 by Shani Greene-Dowdell. I actually really liked this book because it kept me on edge the entire time I was reading it. It had its moment where I was wondering what was really going on each of these characters mind. I was actually surprised about how well everything felt so balanced while leaving me gasping for air. My boyfriend was literally checking on me every second because I was yelling, screaming, and crying. This book had it all and definitely surpassed its former predecessor.

Once you dive into the book, all of your questions are answered as you find out where all the character landed after Justine held Destiny at gunpoint. With Jacob realizing he was tricked, he makes emergency phone calls to protect his lady love. When the situation plays out, you see Destiny in the hospital opening up her eyes with Jacob nowhere in sight. Destiny’s mom and her ex-husband, Montie made sure Jacob wasn’t even allowed to see her.

You and I Together by Melissa Toppen - Book Review

This book had a way of testing the ultimate from my favorite couple. Anna and Bentley are back and this time, we are testing this couple's resilience. If you haven't read the first book, go ahead and stop by the book listing to get you and I Alone. In You and I Together, you get to see Anna and Bentley come together as a couple. You see the joys that Bentley gives Anna on a daily basis, while also proving to Anna how much he loves her. Anna was a joy as well because you really do see her evolving into this person who does not want to live without Bentley in her life. I found this book to be an awesome sequel to the first book and found some things in this book that made me laugh, cry, and think about the work you put into building a relationship.

The one thing that became open up to us was the insight into some of the friends and family of Anna and Bentley. In Anna's world, you get to see Lo and Andrea. These two really put a spin in Anna's world and made her see that Bentley could actually be good for and that she shouldn't deny what she's feeling just because she's afraid. Bentley's world was a little hard to crack, but once you get through you are introduced to Shira and Ethan.

The Gilded Cuff by Lauren Smith - Book Review

I have never read a story that involved BDSM, so when this author sent me her book. I felt intrigued to know what the big fuss was about. This book was oddly cool because it introduced you to this life of these two people with them having these feeling of love and then it took you into this dominant and submissive role that these characters played. Lauren Smith also made it into criminal mystery and to me, I felt like it was the trifecta of a really good read. So be prepared for one heck of ride in this book, The Gilded Cuff by Lauren Smith.
The author waste no time diving you headfirst into this lifestyle as you meet Sophie who is new to this game and you are introduced to this club called the Gilded Cuff. Sophie is not here for fun at all, but actually for a purpose of finding one man. But don’t think she wasn’t curious because she was. Only because her lack in the touch of the male species has let her down. Deep down she wanted to know how that felt. By a stroke of good luck, she finds the man she is looking for and their connection starts with a game.

Verbal Penetration by Jessica Holter - Book Review

A book about exploring black male and female sexuality. These poets in this book take you on a journey of eroticism. I got the book because they came on HBO a long time ago and was intrigued to read more. If she still does these shows, I for one have put them on my bucket list to go and see.  This book has no just poetry, but stories in it as well that will turn you on and open up your eyes to the importance of safe sex.

This book has many stories that I would love to talk about them all. But that would ruin the surprise of a very sexual book that I suggest that everyone read. I put together a list of stories and poetries that you would be missing out on if you didn’t read this book. And if the title of these books poetic tales don’t pull you I don’t know what will. I put a star next to my favorite ones that I would love to hear your thoughts on as I know that they made for a steamy read for me and a lesson learned as well.
