Twice Escaped The Story of John Price and the Oberlin-Wellington Rescue

Before the Civil War (1861-1865) it was legal in some states for one person to own or enslave another person. Those who wanted slavery to end or be abolished were called abolitionists and some of them started the Underground Railroad. This story is based on actual events that took place in Oberlin, Ohio on Monday, September 13, 1858.
