A good story to the finale of the Naughty Series

Ok, so this book was the finale of all the Naughty series by Brenda Hampton and it didn't fail to excite me. Instead of the book being titled Naughty and a number, the author took a different route and decided to call it Jaylin's World and it fit perfectly with the story. The chapters don't all center on Jaylin, but the characters do and I have got to say, I am going to miss this little journey. I mean, I have read all of the books and loved every single one of them, but no, there were no tears. More like a round of applause for giving Jaylin, Scorpio, and Nokea the ending that they deserve.

So the book starts off a few years after the last one and Scorpio is married with two kids and her husband is not all that cracked up to be marriage material. Scorpio accuses him of cheating on her and we don't know for sure whether he is or isn't. They are on the road when this happens and they get into a bad accident that seems to have more of a major impact on her kids and everyone is rushed to the hospital. If you missed out on what happened between her and Jaylin well, this is where you find out. You also find out that she is still holding on to a secret that will soon come to light.

Meanwhile, in Jaylin and Nokea's world everything seems to be blissfully happy in their marriage. Both of them can't get enough of each other and their kids love getting in between them. When I say these two are soul mates, they really are. Jaylin is even considering another child with Nokea. Like one breathes and the other is there to catch it. Shane and Tiffanie are another couple in this story, but their story is like a mini story between the two and they don't really have any chapters. You see their life through Jaylin or Nokea and I got to admit it was pretty good.

These two worlds eventually end up clashing when Jaylin gets a mysterious phone call from Scorpio saying that Mackenzie was in the hospital. Of course, Jaylin being Jaylin, he end ups flying to the hospital to see Scorpio and Mackenzie unbeknownst to him he does not know about her son. He gets to the hospital and Scorpio is run through looking up after her children since Bruce left her high and dry for his own reasons. Jaylin ends up finally getting her out and making her sleep and I got to give it to him, he fought his urges, but started coming to the most stupidest conclusion of why he should go back up to that room and sleep with her. The man in him came out, I should say. Let me just say this, Jaylin loves both of these women in his own way and to me that really wasn't fair to both of them. The conclusion that everybody has been waiting on happens and Jaylin gets the shock of his life and starts to make some moving plans for Scorpio and her kids and it looks like Scorpio doesn't put up much of a fight.

The problems don't start until Jaylin gets home and Nokea realizes that something is different with him and starts to do her research. This is a woman who knows her husband very well, inside and out. If his mannerisms change, his wife will know. She goes on through life still loving her husband, going out with him and just being a family. But one day, she gets him alone and presents him with the facts and he gives in and tells her to truth and let's just say that Nokea did not take it lightly. She packed up her stuff and left and from here on, you either going to love the book or hate the book. I was a bit of both.

Nokea moves out and tries to get on with her life without Jaylin and ends up getting a few surprises of her own and making some tough decisions, but ultimately she demands a divorce from Jaylin. On the other side of town Scorpio is settled in without a care in the world and for good reason. Jaylin is a weird character to me, but in a crazy way, makes too much sense to me. He is heartbroken over what Nokea is putting him through and my heart roots for him there, but he turns around and contradicts himself when he runs over to Scorpio's place. In a way, Jaylin knew what he wanted, but that didn't stop him from getting his urges out with another woman.

After a while, the meeting of Scorpio and Nokea go down and you see them surprisingly come to an understanding. Not what I was expecting at all, but the author kept it classy. Eventually, the only thing tying all of them together is the kids and each woman learns how to accept the children in Jaylin's life. Nokea still gets her divorce and you would think that it would end there and it doesn't. Remember, these two are soul mates. There is a wedding and a meeting of the minds and overall, a happy ending. I couldn't believe it was ending, like I wanted more, but was satisfied at the same time.
