BARBARA WADE ROSE is a former journalist and winner of the Magazines Canada Gold Award and the Science in Society Journalism Award. She worked as a San Francisco correspondent for Maclean's magazine and has written for the Globe and Mail, the New York Times, Saturday Night magazine, Chatelaine, Books in Canada, and many more. She is the author of MARABEL OR, THE GREAT EXCEPTION (finalist in the Whistler Independent Spirit Awards) and THE PRIEST, THE WITCH & THE POLTERGEIST (quarter-finalist in the Coverfly Cinematic Book Competition). Both books are available as audiobooks on Audible.com. She lives in Toronto. Barbara Wade Rose writes and revises every day -- sometimes books, or articles, or essays; sometimes other people's anecdotes.
Her first book was a collection of essays about other members of her seventh-grade class. It was torn to shreds by a girl named Valerie. She began writing books when the magazine business died. In her spare time, Barbara hosts fabulous dinner parties, gardens, and paints. She lives with her family in Toronto.
