But her intentions are soon discovered, and Noble’s time is running out as her estranged lover, an undead crime lord with a ruthless crew of immortal thugs at his command, is tasked by the organization to kill the detective. But who is Eric Noble really? And why would someone call on such powerful entities to dispatch him? Is he really just a man, or something infinitely more elemental? The Threshold follows Eric and Alicea down the difficult roads they face on their way to each other. She will risk everything to get to him, and their only chance to survive may be the dormant forces that he unknowingly holds within his psyche.
