Please read this book. That is what I ask of you, for it will change your perspective of the disabled. It is entertaining throughout. You will laugh, cry and most certainly think, which to me is the main reason I read, to grow the mind.
Pros & Cons
Pros
Number one pro that comes to mind as I reflect on Brian Hartman's short stories of a disabled individuals journey through life, is the openess and honesty his character portrays. This read will surely make you recall instances in your life when you treated the disabled as outcasts, as oddities, and perhaps even as non-existing. The raw emotion portrayed will certainly touch your heart and leave you knowing each person on earth, no matter how they look, brings value into our lives.
Cons
I believe a bit more substance to particular stories would have enhanced the read and some left me wanting a conclusion to the tale.
