The co-authors of this book are known as the Crystal Skull Explorers, Joshua Shapiro and Katrina Head along with 20+ crystal skulls in their possession. This is the second in a series of books which discusses different locations the authors have gone to, to make connection with the crystal skulls. As was shown in the last Indiana Jones film, there are truly human shaped and sized skulls made of quartz crystal and other gemstones that is being uncovered all over the world. We are not totally sure who made all of these skulls and why but in modern times, many people are drawn to have their own which modern carvers primarily in Brazil and China are accommodating.

Within this book, the primary focus is upon three journeys to Peru which Joshua took from 1997-2002 searching or a "Blue Crystal Skull" - of which he only had a vision of. Quitting his regular good paying job, he leaves for Peru on the first journey in the fall of 1997, not exactly sure where he is going, only knowing he must go to the northern part of Peru which is usually not the areas tourists go. This book is based upon his journal notes for the three journeys into the northern part of Peru - what happens to him, his spiritual or paranormal experiences and the contact he makes with this "Blue Skull" which has a living consciousness.

There is no other book on the crystal skulls that is based upon such a true life story - and the Explorers were compelled to release it as an e-book at the end of 2012 and worked with Global Communications in NYC to offer a printed edition. Joshua has also worked with Katrina on their first travel log book, "Journeys of the Crystal Skull Explorers: Travel Log #1 - Mexico 2009 (only as an e-book), and is also the co-author/co-publisher of "Mysteries of the Crystal Skulls Revealed (with Bowen & Nocerino, in 1989, out of print, he has a few copies) with various versions of another book, "Journeys of the Crystal Skull Explorers" released in Poland (2004), Holland (2006) and Hungary (2008). Joshua has been involved with the crystal skulls since April of 1983 and met Katrina in 2009.
