Will He? is my most ambitious book, so far. The story intrigues me. It is difficult to formulate an entirely different set of circumstances from the ordinary. Yet, I try. Containing a subject which is seldom discussed, Will He? may cause some feelings of discomfort. Still, the subject is wrapped in travel and mystery. Walking the same streets of the Eternal City where Keats spent time, the reader is transported to Italy. Fall in love with the Italian way of life. Yet, remember that home is where the heart is. A young girl of privilege loses both of her parents in Newport, R.I. Whisked away to Frascati, Italy; she must live with an aunt whom she barely knows. It is soon apparent to the reader that Laura as well as her twin brother, Lars, are brilliant. They are child prodigies. Each discovers a real talent for art. While living in Frascati, Laura experiences love from her new Italian family which she never knew from her real parents. This new family is comprised of a maid and handyman as well as another young girl who is being cared for by aunt Sophia. Soon Laura discovers a family secret from generations of the past. A dark secret which is embarrassing and causes fear, she rushes back to the States to confront her brother. Is he a victim of the dreaded curse? Will He? covers vast emotions. It is difficult to put this book aside.
