Some revolutions are internal. Their country’s three-year fight for national sovereignty has ended, and Ahnna, a village schoolmistress, finishes her service as a wartime nurse with the care of one more patient: Ikenna, an esteemed soldier and tradesman. Yet, even in their newfound independence, the struggle for worthy governance, both of the nation and of the heart, is not over. Will answering the call of destiny lead Ahnna and Ikenna down separate paths, or a shared one?
