In 1963, Mamie was an organizer of the Foot Soldiers and The Children Crusade in Birmingham Alabama,who were summons by Dr Martin Luther King Jr. to protest and march against the Racism,Injustices and Segregation. While fighting these injustices Mamie and hundreds were Beaten,Jailed,Hosed by Firemen with high pressure hoses. Mamie Famous Time Life Photo 1963 of being hosed gained National Attention and sparked the Civil Rights Movement and alerted the world to the horrors blacks faced in Birmingham Ala. In 1997 Mamie found out Her Image,Identity,Accomplishments,Experiences,and most of all Her Pride was Stolen by Rev. Carolyn Maull Mckinstry (Author) ,who lived in Birmingham,she had been touring the Globe,attending speaking engagements, News Broadcasts,Books,Magazines,Oprah Winfrey show,Tours,Newspapers claiming and promoting to be Mamie,the lady in the Famous Photo,Carolyn launched a very lucrative Empire all off claiming to be Mamie,with the help of others.
