Good morning I’ve not had internet in 5 days and every thing in my house works off internet. My cell phone and house phone is magic jack wifi only (everything)! I call my provider and I was told my services where due for payment but not out for disconnect they’ll see what they can do mean while I should see what I could do about a payment for $112 hold please. I waited and was told I believe we can have someone come out Saturday between the hours of 3and5, but you really need to get that payment in so I go on to say our payment is not due till the the 9th he says no your payment is technically due on the 6th which was yesterday and that could be why your services have been (disconnected) so I believe it would be in your best interest to start making your payments on time... Before I answered I took a long deep breath an said a slow pray to my Father asking him to control my words as I blew my breath out. I said okay thank you can I expect a technician Saturday between thous hours? He said sure also is it possible you might be able to give me a time we can expect a payment from you? Here at Charter we are pushing our customers to pay there bills on time. Now mind you my bill was not DUE until the 9th! I got off the phone and was like really? really??
Now after all that Saturday comes and Charter doesn't I wait all day and no Charter but around 5pm I hear a knock at the door it's ATT rep.. so I told him I really don’t want to deal with ATT there do expedience my budget doesn't allow it it's out the question he's wasting his time point blank end of discussion. This man pleas ma'am give me 5 min I promise I can get you a better deal than Charter. Before he left I was an ATT customer with a much MUCH better rate!!
Monday doing as I was told I explained to the rep I needed internet service BADILY!!!!! I never knew how dependent I was on internet until I didn't have it. SERIUSLY!!!! WORKING FROM SOMEONE ELSES WIFI IS NOT FUN!!!! Especially when you work from home! I called ATT and got a better date for them to come out and connect my services. now in order for them to do that they had to get charter to consent to transfer my phone number earlier than there 24 of Sep. I have big plains for the 25 so that date wasn't going to work and they wouldn't release the number so I had to change my number to get they service expedited and I'm officially an ATT customer as of yesterday but completely hooked up today!!!! YAAAAA..... Oh and Monday on the 9th when I got off the phone with the ATT rep after she confirmed my installation for the 10th as I was hanging up the phone. I walked into my living room and my in laws kid was on our computer. He sad Tiffani can I play this game? I said "Baby the computer doesn't work." he said "Aha see and I looked again and it was on. Then I looked at the modem and it was on then I checked my box and it was on. Now I find this to be odd... When i asked you to fix my services you couldn't do anything to fix it but when I sign up with another company you turn the services back on on the day of disconnect so you can charge me for the last day? Naw brother naw you got the wrong one! AND When I called to cancel every body I spoke with could not believe how I had been treated and that the people I spoke to had the audacity to document it on the acct and none of there mgr did anything about it. What I told them was and this is why you no longer have me as a Charter customer. The final woman I spoke with was of course there highest manger and she checked everything I told her and all but one thing was true she said my bill was not past due and out for disconnect and it was not $112 it was $98 so like I told her she only put the icing on the cake! She tried to offer me the package that I had for free for a year! Yall gotta understand I didn’t have just some cheep stuff with Charter we had every movie channel and she offered us that for a year for free. This is what I told that women. "Ma'am unfortunately what you hear in the background is not your services that is ATT and had the former representatives I'd spoken with been as attentive as the reps I've spoken with today I would still be a Charter customer but today all I need you to do is disconnect my services please. She said I am so sorry this happen to you then asked me what my bill difference was with ATT... A $50 dollar difference.
