I've spent the last 3 months or so writing Project Northwest and have to admit - it's my favorite project to date.
The Whippoorwill's song, although it's a short story, was written over a 2 year period. The length of time is due to the intense amount of imagery used. I would literally (no pun intended) spend days writing and re-writing a single page. For example: (This paragraph haunted me until I got it right.) "True, I am jealous of the suns warmth, of its glow and it must be equally true, she is jealous of my humanity, my prospect for love, the passion of my nights. For the sun by its mere charisma has never seen the dark of night, whereas, I’ve seen them both and have loved under the opus of each." Author of "Project Northwest", "The Whippoorwill's Song", "Chaos Theorem" and more. |
