As a writer, D. A. Isley has coined the philosophy that “writing releases what the soul cries out for us to hear.” In his first book, Through The Eyes of A Foster Child: A Poetic Journey, he released his soul to the power of pen in an effort to allow not only his voice to be heard; but the voices of millions of foster children that still reside in the system. In 2009 he became a freelance writer for the Examiner as San Diego Foster Families Examiner, an online writing site.
In 2010 he released his second book, Before I Was Born: I Saw The World Through Your Eyes; which is a book of poetry and prose for children. In 2011 he released his third book, The Essence of Wisdom and Life, a book that will allow one to take a journey into their own soul. |
