D. Skies a.k.a Shante Harris is a 27-year-old mother of three beautiful girls and loving wife residing on the south side of Chicago. She acquired an Associates of Arts in 2010 and is now pursuing a Bachelors of Arts with a concentration on TV/Film Making at Chicago State University.
D. Skies has long been a fan of writing. Since the third grade she has been driven to write and have been inspired by the likes of Maya Angelou, Stephen King, Sistah Soulja, and Langston Hughes. Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, she was right in the middle of crime and violence. She experienced many trials and tribulations inside and outside of her home but with the help of her grandmother she was able to overcome those hardships. After graduating high school she decided to write poetry, which ultimately led her to write short stories. In 2011, D. Skies was signed to La Femme Fatale Publishing where she is currently working on her best novels. Her first novel will be debuting in late Spring 2011. D. Skies plans on continuing her dream of becoming a best selling author and also a world-renowned director/producer. |
