Canadian born, naturalized Mexican living in the middle of what was the drug war in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Nothing like the sound of machine gun fire in the night for grist for your novels. I have written 3 books about dogs - a memoir, a novel and a short story collection. My muse is my best friend, Duchess Desert Rose. She´s a half Lab, half Shepherd ball of fun. She is bilingual - (disobeys in English and Spanish.)
I also write tutorials for Spanish speakers who wish to learn English. Wondering, if half the people have a pic of their dogs in their bios, and everyone has fond memories of classics like ´Where the Red Fern Grows,´ ´Call of the Wild,´ and ´White Fang´ then why is it so damn hard to sell fiction about dogs? |
