Bio:
I was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, during the original manned spaceflight program and the Civil Rights Movement. I began writing poetry as a teenager and began writing novels in my 50s. I studied ornamental horticulture and have worked as a professional musician and as a civilian for the United States Army.
I was president of the Huntsville, Alabama, Classic Guitar Society and performed on guitar and sitar My poems were originally published in numerous anthologies by The National Library of Poetry. I'm proud to be a founding member of The Build the Dream Foundation, which built the Washington, D.C., memorial to the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
I live in the US Pacific NW and play harp, garden, knit, and do yoga.
