I am a native Georgian and grew up in the Atlanta suburb of Decatur. I received a BBA from the University of Georgia and an MBA from the University of Tampa.

Immediately upon completing undergraduate school, I spent three years as an artillery officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

After military service, I spent the majority of my business career in the medical-devices industry where I held executive-level positions in distribution management, field-service management, and service-support operations.

I became a full-time novelist in 2009.
