Paulette Mahurin is a Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Women's Health in a rural clinic in Ojai, where she lives with her husband, Terry, and two rescue dogs, Max & Bella. Writing and rescuing dogs are her passions. While in college, at UCLA, she wrote two award winning non-fiction short stories, and just recently published her first novel, The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap, which has been receiving attention in the press, and was featured as the read of the month of July, 2012 by the prestigious Ojai Art Center Literary Branch. Her novel brings a message of tolerance.
