Life with My type one diabetic!
My morning starts with her in mind she's (My Bratt) Brittiani a name that I'm very distinct with and that I've taught her to also be distinct with as well. Every day is a challenge for her I can't imagine how it must feel to wake up every morning knowing if I don't take a shot by the end of the day my life might be ended. You see my daughter has Juvenile Type1 Diabetes she was diagnosed at 7 an now she's 14 and for seven years we have struggled I have yelled, loved, cried, cuddled her on the floor when she could not move from pain of her muscles contracting from her blood sugar coming down from it being so high because she forgot to get the shot and had done it so often she didn't want to disappoint me so she didn't tell me... Only for me to wake to 2-3AM sounds of feet running through my house and I find her in the bath room head over the toilet puking her brains out because her body is now rejecting all the sugar/carbohydrates she now put in it because she forgot to get the insulin she needs to live just because she wants to live like a normal kid. Whats wrong with that? I can't Imagine what it feel like to wake up in the morning and have to get 45 units of one insulin that just takes you through the day and now you just have to get insulin for what you eat and oh don't forget to calculate your blood sugar throughout the day. I can't imagine what it feels like to just want to be a kid.
