Hi Fiordaliza,

I would say if you are self publishing and are going with on demand printing which is an economical choice for those who are unable to go the traditional offset printing route, finding a good printing company who is equipped to also assist you with distribution channels is a good idea. with this option you are still able to sell books on your home but you can take advantage of a cheaper per book rate based on the number of books you order. This is especially helpful if you unable to obtain a distributor right away. Printing with small printers who are not traditionally set up to print books could be more costly for you and cut into your bottom line. Having no distribution may also limit your bottom line for various reasons. I hope this helps
