Say It & Believe It: I Am Equipped to Avoid Financial Fear!
Young, Fabulous, and Self-Employed! What a slogan right? Well that's exactly what I thought when I came across a website that adorned that very name. I soon learned that it was a magazine geared toward promoting the entrepreneurial spirit and helping go getters realize their dreams.
Anyone who has embarked on this journey has most likely experienced anxiety over a key component of that mission, the dreaded "F" word. Finances! Even to the most savvy business person, I have no doubt it can be the source of much stress. However, I am learning that it does not have to be that way at all. With preparation and a lot of hard work, one can equip themselves with the knowledge to overcome this critical obstacle. Below is an article I pulled from Young, Fabulous, and Self-Employed Mag:
10 Financial Lessons You Will Learn During Your 1st Year of Business
In summary the steps are as follows:
1.) Develop a plan
2.) Have an emergency cash reserve on hand
3.) Become financially literate
4.) Reinvest your profits
5.) Make swift and decisive financial decisions
6.) Operate on a conservative budget
7.) Identify multiple suppliers and vendors
8.) Request rate locks on all contracts
9.) Use cloud based financial apps
10.) Get into the details early on
In studying these steps and learning the details of each, one can equip themselves with the ability to overcome financial stress when it comes to your business. Although the steps are formulated to overcome obstacles in the start up phase, the article made excellent points toward easing the fear over financials in all phases of business.
As an author and entrepreneur with a new business venture on the immediate horizon, it gave me the added motivation to go out and be young, fabulous, and self-employed. Say it and believe it. I am equipped to avoid financial fear!
